The Maryhill Museum of Art will reopen to the public, with limited days and timed admissions, on Friday.

The museum houses an eclectic mix of European and American paintings, indigenous American artworks and artifacts, objects donated by the Queen of Romania, sculptures by Rodin, Orthodox icons and fashion mannequins from postwar France. Outdoors is a sculpture garden and vast views of the Columbia River Gorge. The museum is located on a bluff along state Highway 14, near Maryhill, about 100 miles from Vancouver.

Beginning Friday, the museum will be open to 100 timed-entry ticket holders every two hours. Entry is available at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. or 3 p.m. on Fridays through Mondays only. Masks are always required. The street address is 35 Maryhill Museum Drive, Goldendale.

Tickets are on sale via www.maryhillmuseum.org. Museum admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, $9 for college students with ID, $5 for youth age 7-18 and free for 6 and under.

The cafe and store are closed, and the museum will close Tuesday through Thursday.

The museum’s exterior gardens and grounds will be open to the public for free from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Visitors are welcome to use picnic areas as they practice proper social distancing.

The nearby Klickitat County Stonehenge Memorial, a few miles farther east, is open daily from dawn to dusk.
